Professor Jon Dowling from the Horace C. Hearne Jr. Institute for Theoretical Physics, is visiting the Department for two weeks, to further develop research collaborations with Dr Dominic Berry and Dr Peter Rohde.
The research collaboration focuses on the exciting new field of ‘boson sampling’, an approach to optical quantum computing that might pave the way to the first post-classical quantum computer.
