Deputy Vice-Chancellor Jim Piper retires

Professor Piper retired as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the end of June 2013.  He has made a singular contribution to Macquarie University, the higher education sector and his discipline over the last 38 years as researcher, teacher, mentor and university leader. As Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research for the past decade, he led Macquarie University to a position of research excellence.
