COURSE MATERIAL
Oscillations and waves are found in a huge range of systems, not just physics. This behaviour pervades biology, chemistry, geology, metrology, and engineering, as well as both classical and quantum physics. Studying the dynamics of oscillatory systems and waves gives an insight to a broad range of phenomena. Phys201 will explore single and coupled oscillating systems including damping and driving forces, waves and how these notions are fundamental to quantum mechanics - our most precise (and sometimes bizarre) description of Nature.
