Bringing Astronomy to the Community

The Association for Astronomy was established in 1988 by Dr. Alan Vaughan to promote astronomy outreach, to enable various parts of the astronomical community to interact, and to encourage teaching and research in astronomy at Macquarie University.

The Association operates the Astronomical Observatory and the new digital Planetarium and hosts the annual Astronomy Open Night, School of Astronomy, and other special events.

We offer membership to the public and corporate sponsors.  See below for information about events, membership, and other aspects of the Association.
