Vacation Scholarships
Summer Vacation Scholarships in areas of astronomical research are available at universities and institutes around Australia. These are available to suitable candidates in physics, astronomy, mathematics, computing, or engineering (undergraduates with at least two years completed) and students who have recently completed a bachelors, honours, or masters degree).
Do you expect to complete at least your second year of undergraduate studies this year? Macquarie University AAAstro Research Centre, is offering up to five under-graduate vacation scholarships for summer 2012, for periods of 6-7 weeks. These vacation scholarships are available to 2nd and 3rd year physics students studying at Australian Universities. Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and suitability and have a tax-free stipend of $650/week. Successful applicants from outside the Sydney Metropolitan area will receive financial support of return travel to Sydney to take up the scholarship.

Selection will be based on academic merit and suitability. Applications should include a completed application, a cover letter, a copy of your academic transcript, your CV, contact details, and references from two academic referees.
